SESSION 1/Thursday, November 14 @ 5:30 PM Eastern: THIS IS THE ARMY (1943), featuring the songs “Oh How I Hate to Get Up in the Morning”, “God Bless America”, “This is the Army, Mr. Jones” and “Mandy”. A look at the life and career of Irving Berlin, Tin Pan Alley songwriting, the making and marketing of patriotic songs, and the support efforts of Broadway & Hollywood during WW1 and WW2. Celebrating Veterans Day.
